Major Win: An Astrology Study Has Been Successfully Replicated

Great news, astrology fans! You finally have some cold, hard facts to throw at people who doubt you when talk about the importance of astrology matching when looking at couples.

A scientific study that was done using an advanced computer program was successfully replicated last year, showing that there is a correlation between astrology and a successful long term relationship.

All About the Original Study

The original study was conducted way back in 2005 and looked at major Sun/Venus alignments that occurred by total chance at the start of the relationship. It then followed those relationships to see the outcome and success of them.

The study was first published in Correlation magazine, which is a peer-reviewed scientific magazine published by the Astrological Association of Great Britain. The study was done by an Australian researcher name Paul Westran.

The New Data

Westran took his successful, but controversial, study from 2005 and replicated it in 2019 to determine if the results were able to be replicated. As you may be aware, the core of every scientific study is the ability to replicate the data.

If you can’t replicate the results, it doesn’t matter how compelling they are – there is no redeeming quality to it.

“The good news is there is solid scientific evidence supporting claims about celestial patterns astrologers have traditionally linked with romantic liaisons,” Westran said of the study.

According to him, his research agrees and works closely with what every astrologer has said about relationships for thousands of years – that favorable Sun/Venus aspects appear in romantic relationships and successful marriages.

That is, your sign and your partner’s sign really do matter.

This was all determined by putting complex data – including signs, positions of the Sun and planets during birth and life, and partner’s information – into a complex algorithm run by a computer.

How You Can Use This Information in Your Life

What this study has done is validated what we knew all along. The position of the sun and where the planets are what really matter for a successful relationship.

While this doesn’t mean that you should discard any potential partner because astrology doesn’t see a good match, it is good to keep in mind when you’re looking into a new partner or you’re trying to determine where to take your relationship.

If nothing else, it’s a big finger to the nay-sayers of astrology and matching. With this, we may continue to see more scientific data promoting and supporting astrology coming out soon. Astrology is getting taken seriously in the scientific community, and for good reason.
