Great news, y’all. Mars has officially entered Capricorn, and it will hang out there until the end of March, where it moves into Aquarius. Why is this great news, exactly?
Well, Mars does a lot for us, and the red planet’s pairing with Capricorn means that we all have some real potential for doing amazing things. This isn’t a joke – until the next of next month, there is a lot of good going on.
What Does Mars Do, Exactly?
If you’re unfamiliar with this, don’t be ashamed. A lot of astrology buffs struggle with how the planets move and what they can affect. Let’s do a quick once-over on what Mars touches, and how it can shift your mentality and perspective.
Mars rules our sex drives in a very real way, and the red planet is known for its lusty influence in our life. A lesser-known aspect of Mars, however, is the influence it has on our courage, ambition, and overall energy.
So Why Does Mars in Capricorn Matter?
Capricorn is stubborn and practical, which is an excellent pairing for the lusty, ambitious Mars. Mars loves to be in Capricorn, and when the red planet makes its home there, and when these two get together, tasks that need to be done usually get finished, and they get finished quickly.
Mars is fire, after all, and when it’s in Capricorn, the qualities that makes Mars so strong – courage, motivation, ambition, stretch – are all amplified to an extreme.
You might think that fire and earth (as Capricorn is an earth sign through and though) wouldn’t naturally be a good mix, but in this case, it’s a wonderful match that can really propel you.
Don’t Get Too Excited Until March, Though
Know that astrology isn’t just about one or two elements, but many. Until February 25, however, Mars in Capricorn is going to be aligning with what is called the South Node of Destiny. Don’t let the name fool you – this isn’t going to be a good thing.
With this alignment, we all are going to be reverting to… well, a grump! While this will affect different signs differently, it will all hit us in a certain way. Expect to feel lazy, slow, and irritable until February 26, when Mars finally shifts away from this.
Appreciate This in March, Though!
Mars only hits Capricorn once every two years, so this burst of ambition and ability don’t always happen. You need to appreciate this and jump on it while you can!
Until the end of March, you should be working on bettering yourself and making big moves in your life. Charge ahead and make the changes you’ve always wanted to, and tackle ambitious projects in your life you’ve been too scared of before now.
Do great things. The universe is facilitating – all you have to do is believe.
